Wandering Through Two Cities is a composition that maps fragmentary listening experiences across urban envrionments. Comprised of field recordings gathered in July and December of 2016 in Beijing and Tokyo, the work uncovers textural and perspectival connections that can be found in simultaneity of sonic impressions drawn from disparate spaces—creating a sonic dialogue between centre and fringe, and between static and performative responses to urban sites through sound.
This work was presented in 2017 in the sonic cinema program The Ecology of Place in Melbourne.
